wow.
had a full work schedule today. and an even crazier work schedule tomorrow. so i decided to run tonight. got back in around 10:00pm…
thought it would be pleasant and cool.
i was wrong.
i really hate training in the summer.
thoreau
i always show nike videos. so, since i actually wear asics, i found a cool video from them…
had a tough run today. it was cooler and overcast today, but the humidity was to almost unbearable…it was like running through water…
i hadn’t run in several days, plus it was humid, so i was off my usual mile pace today…
that said, it still felt great to be out there…
train. hard.

do it.
4 miles today.
21:34 for first two miles… no time on miles three and four, since i forget to hit the timer after pausing for a potty break…
my back is still hurting a bit, but is much much better. but despite this, i am postponing my next half-marathon to a race in october, an inaugural event in athens, georgia.
i am pretty disappointed that i have to do this, but i lost two weeks to a back injury, and it is still slowing me down, and i just no longer have the time to get caught back up…
i am going to use the time to build up my strength and stamina, and springboard to a solid run in athens. and my goal is to shave off 20 minutes from my current PR…
see you on the road…
nice run today. very hot, but felt good. nice thing about running mid-afternoon is there is nary a soul around…very quiet and peaceful…
of course, they are smarter, because only stoopid people run mid-afternoon when the temp is in the mid-nineties…
oh well… it was the best i could do. on a positive note, i have now lost over 10 pounds during this training…
